4 of the best dog-friendly days out

Dog Parent Bowling League

London Dog Week have teamed up with All Star Lanes to host a bowling league for doggie paw-rents to meet up and socialise. Teams will compete to win prizes for both parents and pups, including the chance to win free bowling for a year.

Tickets are £10 per person with the option to upgrade and add a sharing platter for £20 per person, filled with American fast food favourites such as brisket, BBQ wings and tiger fries. All dog sizes are welcome with 1 ticket admitting 1 hooman and 1 doggo.

Muddy Dog Challenge 2019

This event is pawfect for dog lovers and really active canine chums. For the second year in a row Battersea Dogs Home will host its Muddy Dog Challenge in the beautiful grounds of Ashley Hall. Humans and dogs can walk, jog or splash their way around the 2.5km or 5km obstacle course, and expect to get muddy!

It’s sure to be a great day out as you can come together with friends and family to raise money for the care of animals at Battersea. Participants must be aged 8 years or above and any children aged 8–15 must be accompanied by an adult, also taking part. Dog competitors must be 1 year or older on event day.

This event also takes place at various locations throughout the year including Exeter, Windsor, Cheltenham, Nottingham, Tunbridge Wells, Newcastle and Leeds.

All About Dogs Show

The biggest dog event to hit Suffolk, All About Dogs brings a two day event filled with exciting arena displays, advice from experts, shopping and heaps of have-a-go activities including the popular Fun Dog Shows where you and your pooch can win rosettes, K9 Aqua Sports and the ‘My Dog’s Got Talent’ competition.

 

There’s also plenty for humans to do, with a host of tasty food and drink stands to keep you going throughout the day.

Family theme park fun

Voted North Devon’s top day out with kids, The Milky Way Adventure Park in Clovelly also welcomes your furry friends. With acres of indoor activities and outdoor attractions suitable for all ages, your family is in for a fun-filled adventure. The park also boasts three eateries to keep you fuelled during the day.

All areas of the park are accessible with your dog except the play areas and shows. Dogs can’t board the rides but will enjoy being part of the occasion, watching all the fun with all four paws firmly on the ground.
